Nominated for Best Capstone

Overview of the Capstone Project

Inspiration: I have always wanted to illustrate and write a storybook.

Aspiration: To create a non traditional children's book because I don't want to see any more hungry insects and good night something books.

About the Children's Illustration Book

This is a book that focuses on the readers’ experience and perspective. Its objective is to show the hardships of life that everyone goes through at one point, or another, or not.

The book is geared to people of all ages and walks of life. I hope for people to be able to pick up this book at any given point in their lives and be able to relate and learn something new from it.

I compiled the adjectives given by the participants through their prior knowledge and characteristics and traits of the objects and created personas for my characters.

The final product and the night of Capstone Celebration

Although the project was not selected as a top finalist in the Capstone Celebration, I was overjoyed with the comments and review of those who read the book and felt it was relatable no matter one's background.
At my booth I had a poster of my characters where any passer by can write down their personification adjectives for the characters. There were also stickers.
